The Telugudesam party Supremo Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s uncalled for utterances did not augur well with Telugu people. His absurd comments in a passing way, attributed to the jail inmates drinking and watching pornographic content in prisons, especially in Chanchalguda jail reflects his despondency towards TDP prospects at this juncture of fast approaching general elections.
The baseless rants of frustration from a veteran politician, who has ruled the state for nearly nine long years, from one who in power advocated cleanliness of politics is not just objectionable but outrageous and preposterous.
All this does is expose the true colors of Mr. Naidu, the lows he can stoop to and the sham he is. All one can infer from his rabid discourse is Naidu’s inability to come to terms with the reality of his party being plunged into an abyss, even after a futile walk around the state for nearly eight months and covering more than 2500 km and promising unrealistic sops to people. He seems to be running out of ideas for democratic means of political survival, hence losing his sanity and indulging in mundane rants.
The reason for his jives about jails could perhaps be that, the nine-term president of the TDP has realized that his nexus with the Congress high command to keep YSRCP president Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy away from public for more than a year has not yielded the results he expected.
The illegal, immoral and unjust confinement of Jagan and relentless spread of lies about Jagan, to malign the public perception was to no avail as it neither dampened the spirits of the leaders of YSRCP or changed the perception of the people. Contrary to the machinations, of the Congress high command, Naidu and the yellow media cabal to decimate Y. S. Jagan and his party, it has only made Y. S. Jagan that much more stronger, produced three new leaders in the form of Y. S. Vijayamma garu, Sharmila garu and Bharathi garu and upheld the people’s perception of Jagan as the only alternative to the anti people Congress and the TDP.
Moreover, the information being reported by unbiased national media, the way that slowly the senior and respected journalists like Sri K. Ramachandra Murthy, I. Venkat rao, Kommineni Srinivasa Rao, etc could not sit idly anymore and started speaking out against the gross misuse of power by the congress and the CBI, as well as opening up of tenured politicians who served other political parties before joining YSRCP that they were made to talk lies by Naidu and his cohorts only to malign Jagan Reddy has only exposed the shallowness of Mr. Naidu.
The way the leaders of all parties in public and private admire YS Jagan’s courage even after all that has been thrown at him and his family like never before in Indian politics has only made the so called master politician sulk and spiel with jealousy and insecurity, pushing himself into oblivion.
Contrary to the insecure Naidu whose thoughts are jailed by walls jealousy and heartedness, Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, goes on to prove that the four walls of the jail cannot contain the mind and spirit. He is the one free, using his time effectively and constructively, expanding the horizons of his knowledge, reading the biographies of great leaders like MK Gandhi, Nelson Mandela and Suu Kyi, etc. who proved that autocratic misuse of power can jail the body but not the mind.
While Naidu is loosing sanity, Jagan Reddy is becoming a better person everyday, harnessing the power of knowledge by reading. Recently, it was also reported in an English daily that YS Jagan is pondering over welfare and development programs being implemented by different states and countries in the Asia and Europe. To see how much more, how better he can serve the people of Andhra Pradesh. A god loving person he is, it is also quoted that he spends at least an hour in prayer every day and prefers only vegetarian food. Obviously, he also spends time in chalking out his party development and also political strategies since he will be soon leading his party in the general elections. While there are the facts, Chandrababu’s devious mind is trying to influence public perception otherwise, with cheap talk.
While, YS Jagan fighting against all the odds believes in people and winning over people with his strengths and truth, insane Naidu at this age is showcasing to the people of Andhra Pradesh, the lunatic he really is and the gobble slander he always believed in. Clear writing seems to be on the wall that under his leadership, TDP will have another drubbing far worse than 2009 in the coming elections. All this only give the people yet another chance to reflect on the leader Y. S. Jagan and the looser Chandra babu naidu.
