This is to bring to your kind notice that a successful free medical and health check up camp was conducted at the sai baba temple in Flushing, New York on the 22nd of August, 2010. The camp was conducted by North America Telugu Society (NATS) in association with Telugu literary and Cultural Association (TLCA) of New York.
We gave free health advise to about 228 patients. Most of the patients had no health insurance. Patients had free cholesterol check up and free blood sugar check up to diagnose diabetes. All the patients had body fat estimation done and were given dietary counselling. Physical examination was conducted and medications were reviewed by the physicians.
A bone marrow drive was initiated by Dr. Sudha Kavuri in association with SAMAR, which was a huge success.
Sai Baba temple administration lead by Shri.Sid Kamath, Dr.Sudharkar and Lekha Reddy provided immense help including arrangements for patients and food for volunteers and physicians.
Medical camp was run under the leadership of Dr.Madhu korrapati in association with Shri. Shiva Muthiki, Vikram Jangam of TLCA and Shri. Murthy Gulivindala of NATS. Shri. Mohan Krishna Mannava provied all the voluntary help with NATS active members and TLCA excecutive committee. Several students volunteered their time for the community service and recieved certificate of appreciation from Shri.Ravi Madala and Shri. Shiva muthiki.

The next help camp is planned for first week of December at the same venue.
