Pawan Kalyan - The Power Broker??

Pawan Kalyan - The Power Broker??

When Pawan Kalyan (PK) announced his foray into politics, every Telugu person thought it would be new brand of politics. Those who were anguished with the current breed of politicians had new ray of hope in PK and his JanaSena. But sadly enough, his political launch was a mere rhetoric and sans any vision.

Any political party which is launched just before elections stands to prove it is not just for electoral gains. JanaSena distinguished itself by saying it may not contest in elections. However with the USP of 'Congress Hatao, Desh Bachao' and invigorating 'Sanatana Dharma', it was not difficult to estimate its 'right-wing' leanings. What has shocked people is the speed with which PK had a meeting with Narendra Modi and proclaiming his support for 'NaMo for PM' campaign!!

If PK is sincerely emotional about the state bifurcation, he would have shun BJP. It was BJP which was taunting Congress all the while about bifurcation. "One vote, two states" and "Telangana will be a reality within 100 days if BJP comes to power" were the slogans of BJP. It was RSS ideology and Babri masjid incident that divided Hindus and Muslims in India after independence, apart from Godhra incident. How come he missed these points??

With BJP-TDP alliance on cards, PK's entry casts a significant doubt. With his JanaSena, he would try to propel the frustration and anti-incumbency factor against Congress towards this new alliance. JanaSena may not contest directly but would benefit this new alliance by asking 'questions'. His role would be to influence neutral voters, apart from his fans, in the favour of TDP-BJP. Even if we consider, as per general estimation, that he can sway 2-3% of votes, then a significant damage can be done to other parties. With 'first-post-the-post' electoral system, this would be a great help to the grand new alliance.

So what about 'Ism', the new political book of PK?? Am sure it would dig deeper into the mess of this nation and point fingers at Congress. The new alliance hopes this book and PK's campaign would fetch some mileage to it. PK will effectively follow his elder brother (who was rumoured to have started party at the behest of Congress). They are two sides of the same coin..

What will happen to JanaSena after elections?? Its anybody's guess!!!
