North American Telugu Association – Dallas Chapter

First NATA-Dallas Chapter meeting was held at Pasand Indian Cuisine, Richardson, Texas on Thursday 02/10/2011.

There was an enthusiastic audience who turned up for the meeting and expressed several of their opinions and shared views about NATA and had wide ranging discussions.

The meeting was chaired by Rao Kalvala (Regional Vice-President) and was attended among others by Dr.Alla Srinivasa Reddy, Dr.Raghava Reddy, Dr.Sridhar Reddy Korsapati, Dr.Ramana Juvvadi, Dr.Narsimha Reddy Urimindi, Mr.NMS Reddy, Mr.RK Panditi and several other community leaders.

Rao Kalvala quickly brought upto speed the audience with the latest happenings in NATA and assured that NATA will take care of all social interests for people living in the United States. Also explained the vision of NATA leadership Sri.AVN Reddy-President, Sri. Malla Reddy Pailla, Sri.Prem Reddy and others.

Alla Srinivas Reddy garu (Board Trustee) updated the audience about the activities happened in Las Vegas meeting, which was held between 01/21 and 01/23. Later Raghava Reddy garu (Board Trustee) spoke and envisioned that NATA will be embraced by all the Telugu people across USA.

Sridhar Reddy garu (Board Trustee) shared his views that NATA will bring greater awareness among various Telugu people living in the Dallas Metroplex area. He took questions from the audience on how NATA has been active already. He mentioned that NATA with it's inception of merely over a month has helped the Tri-Valley University students on immigration needs and about the committee dedicated to the students.

Ramana Juvvadi garu(NATA Magazine editor) and Narsimha Reddy Urimindi garu focused on how NATA will help in preserving the Telugu culture and heritage in the USA, and in Andhra Pradesh.

Ram Surya Reddy garu (Treasurer, NATA) explained the audience about the overwhelming registrations that NATA has been receiving, reminding the need of newer organizations at the national level.

NMS Reddy garu President, Telugu Association of North Texas (TANTEX) promised to help in all ways to make the new organization a big success and requested that a national level meeting of NATA be held in Dallas, TX to bring awareness in the Telugu community.

Thirumalendra Reddy garu suggested that NATA should be unique among the national organizations and conduct acitivities in those lines. NATA Dallas chapter representatives received the suggestions in the positive nature and promised that the message will be delivered to the national council.

Prasad Reddy Mallu explained the need of national organizations such as NATA with the growing number of Telugu people across the country.

Mahesh Adibhatla garu (Dallas Co-ordinator) gave vote of thanks speech and thanked each and everyone for making the meeting a grand success inspite of battling the severe cold in Dallas.
