NATA Tristate - Fundraiser Grand Success - Raised $503,000

North American Telugu Association (NATA) organized its second convention fundraiser events in the Tristate Area (Long Island –NY & Fords, NJ), NY event was celebrated with pomp and grandeur on Friday Mar 21 evening at the glittering chandeliers lit venue Akbar Restaurant at Long Island.

A whopping amount of $302,000 was raised at this NY event, Grand NJ event was organized the following day Sat Mar 22 at The Royal Albert’s Palace at Fords, NJ community pledged generously $201,000. Both the events were graced by Dr. Pailla Malla Reddy (Advisory Council NATA), Dr. Reddy Hosted the Mar 21st Grand dinner, his presence at both occasions made immense impact. Dr. Reddy advised to increase the membership to 10000 and to generously donate for the 2014 biannual convention and attend the mega 10000 people convention at Atlanta.

Convention showcases NATA’s Services / Vision / Achievements / Hospitality / Alumni / Business / Seminars / Spirituality / Family Events / Cultural Programs / Entertainment. NATA President Dr. Sanjeeva Reddy explained about the recently concluded Seva Days activities in India, Through Seva Days various medical/eye camps were held in India, new safe drinking water plants were established, save a girl child walk, scholarships were awarded for deserving and the list of sevadays activities goes on.

Later NATA 2014 Convener, Bala Indurti, attributed this unprecedented success to the Telugu community of NY and NJ. NATA NY team and NATA NJ team have worked tirelessly for this event, amid cheers the teams efforts were applauded by the president of NATA. Several new members Joined NATA on this occasion.

The biennial NATA convention, held once in 2 years, is going to be a mega event of its kind where over 10,000 people of Telugu origin are expected at the GWCC Convention center in Atlanta downtown for the three day period of July 4th – 6th. In addition, the convention will be transmitted LIVE through many leading TV channels to millions across US, Canada and India. All arrangements are in full swing to make the 3 day fun festival surpass all expectations and provide maximum value to all the people in attendance. At Both occasions audience were enthralled with music, they enjoyed a sensational singing by “Paadutha Theeyaga” famed singers, extravaganza that included superlative songs, melodious music and entertainment. NY program started off with a traditional “Maha Ganesha" Prayer. Mr.Phanibhushan Thadepally energetically emceed the NY event; NJ Program was emceed by RVPs Mr.Ramana Devulapally and Mr.Shiva Meka. Mr.Sridhar Kumbala RVP-NY elaborated the activities NATA NY team carried out in 2013. RVPs of NJ explained the NJ activities held in 2013.

Top contributor from Tristate Area Dr.Pailla Malla Reddy Pledged $100,000. In NY eight Donors pledged $10,000 (Dr.Stanley Reddy, Dr.Purna Atluri, Mr.Sudhakar Rao Vidiyala, Invagen Pharmaceuticals, Hanumantha Rao &Venkat Reddy, Jay Talluri, Bhasker Reddy and Atlantic Essential Products).  There were 13 donors with $5000, 14 donors with $2500 and 20 donors with $1000 pledges.

In NJ seven Donors pledged $10,000.  There were 14 donors with $5000, 15 donors with $2500 and 22 donors with $1000 pledges.

NATA NY Fundraising Dinner was hosted by Dr. Pailla Malla Reddy, fundraiser was co-ordinated by RVP Sridhar Kumbala. NATA President lauded the efforts of NY team that arranged this successful fundraiser; NY Team includes BODs Pradeep Samala, Chinnababu Reddy, Dr.Stanley Reddy, Vikram Janagam, Rami Reddy Alla, and Vishnu KotimReddy. Regional Coordinator Jayaprakash Enjapuri Helped with web stuff. RC Prasad Koyi helped with photography, Linga Reddy helped with posters.

NATA NJ Fundraising Dinner was coordinated by Executive Director/Finance Committee chair Mahender Musuku and Membership Committee chair/Finance Committee co-chair Anna Reddy. NJ Team tirelessly worked for this event, team includes BODs Dr. Mohan Patalolla, Rajeshwar Reddy Gangasani, Ramesh Chandra, Suresh Sadipiralla, Srinivas Ganagoni, Harinadha Velkur and Raghava Reddy Ghosala. Standing Committee Chairs Mahesh Bigala, Mohammad Murtuza, co-chairs Naresh Chintalacheruvu, Dwarak Varanasi, RVPs Ramana Devulapalli, Shiva Meka, Sreedhar Gudala, Venkatram Reddy and many Regional Coordinators from New Jersey and Pensylvania.

The NATA culture of positive thinking and cordiality was evident in the informal and warm way the leaders greeted all of the attendees in a fun filled atmosphere with respect towards all. The cordial camaraderie and the strong rapport between the various teams, the dynamic activities of these members, the resplendent positive energy that effuses from this charged atmosphere together leave no doubt that NATA 2014 convention will surpass all expectations for all attendees and set a new mark for entertainment and progress.

NATA NY & NJ teams thanked, NATA President Dr. Sanjeeva Reddy, Convention Convener Bala Indurti, Core Committee members Goutham Goli, Atlanta RVP Ravi Kandimalla, NATA EVP Dr. Harnath Policherla, Secretary Mr.Ramsurya Reddy, Treasurer Mr.Srinivas Anugu and Joint Secretary Sridhar Korsapati, DC area RVP Babu Rao Samala, RC Suresh all these NATA Leaders have flown in from various parts of the USA to attend this event.
