The Atlanta Telugu community had the honor of hosting prominent actor, producer, philanthropist & legend Dr. Mohan Babu and young hero Mr. Vishnu Manchu at the Saimurali Banquet Hall for a lunch event on November 13th 2011.
The event started with Jyothiparjwalana by padmasri Dr. Mohan Babu, Mr. Manchu Vishnu, Dr. Gandhiji Yalamanchili, Dr. Mangaraju Vanapalli, Dr. Srihari Malepmpati, Mr. Komati Mohan Reddy & Mr. Bala Indurti.
After enthralling introduction by Mr Satish Musnuru, Mr. Vishnu made a brief speech about the educational institiutions and how they are providing free education for 25% of the 10,000 attending students on a need basis.
There was a multimedia presentation about the great work being done by Sri Vidyaniketan Education Institutions towards the noble cause of providing quality education.
After resounding introduction by Anjaiah Chowdary Lavu the chief guest, Dr Mohan Babugaru was invited to the dias. Dr Mohan Babu garu gave an inspiring speech sharing his life experiences starting from an ordinary farming family background to becoming successful personality in the movie industry. He also talked about how he was motivated about education and the work being done by Sri Vidyanikethan education institutions and how he started them in 1992 and grew them to a total current enrolment of 10,000. He appealed to the community to come forward and support the Sri Vidyaniketan Educational Society. He also commended the efforts of the event organizers specially Mr. Bala Indurti. After his speech, Dr Mohan Babu garu at the request of the audience entertained the event attendees with dialogues from his movies.
Hero Vishnu Thanked the Organizers Bala Indurthi, Anjaiah chowdary Lavu and Satish Musunuri for their commendable efforts.
Dr. Gandhi Yalamanchili & Bala Indurti felicitated legend Dr. Mohan Babu with memento. Anjaiah Chowdary Lavu and Satish Musunuri felicitated Manchu Vishnu with memento. Sudhakar Rao Mususnuri, Ramesh Chaparala felicitated guests with shawls respectively. Srini Vangimalla, Ramesh Gude, Paddy Rao Atmuri, Ravi Kandimalla felicitated the guests with boequets.
Venkat Chennubotla and Sneha Charurvedula entertained the audience with music and live singing of songs from Dr. Mohan Babu garu movies. The event was attended by over 400 people and everyone contrubuted towards the funds for the educational institutions.
