In essence, this was a satire on the population of the country. However, it appears that in the modern times, the same slogan has positive results. Due to population our country is ruling. The internet, electronics and food chain business is based on population and that’s why American markets are targeting major populated nations for business and investments.
The other interesting thing is that India has 74 % literacy rate now whereas China has 96% literacy. So, if India grows in literacy rate it will rule the world. As such, the population growth in China has reduced and there is just a margin of few crores between us and the Chinese.
So, having huge number of people is no longer a minus. It has been proved that if a population related concept comes then that business will be a huge success. At this rate, down the line India will become number 1 and has every trait to become a super power. So, the population in India can now be considered as blessing in disguise when the conditions are applied.
