Guess Who's Hiring In Andhra

The microfinance story in the state may have taken a rather ugly turn but MFI major SKS which has been braving a storm and possibly losses in the light of all the negative publicity is busy putting its house in order.

It is now seeking professionals at a managerial level to handle communications and media for the company, a crucial exercise given all the ink spent on various reports in various publications on the alleged suicides by 'MFI victims'. And it's not just managerial posts, it's filling.

The company is also looking for a vice-president to manage its HR function. But there is something strange in these job postings as SKS prefers not to use its abbreviation but its forgotten full name, which is Swayam Krishi Sangam.

Also, it describes itself as an NGO, which we thought was a term used for not-for-profit organisations, but then SKS after calling itself an NGO, does add that it is the only listed MFI in the country.
