Grandeur and spectacular energy invigorates 10,000 attendees

It is generally said that words cannot truly depict the emotions and atmosphere surrounding any particular event, but one can only try to out of necessity. We have all convened at the heart of Dallas, resided in the most hospitable hotels, and participated in heart-lifting cultural events all in the name of TANA.

I sincerely wish to thank all of you from the core of my heart for traveling the length and breadth of North America and from all over the world to attend this convention and make it a success. I am proud to say that we have hosted a record number of 10,000 attendees in a sprawling multimillion dollar state of the art convention center situated in the stunning scenic view of downtown Dallas.

Wonderful times and treasured memories at the convention can be quickly re-called no doubt due to the amazing programs and exhibitions. The Telugu Talli stood tall and proud as people feasted their eyes upon her. Not only was our beloved country represented both aesthetically, but it also represented by all uniquely designed and well executed programs throughout the convention that brought together the unique talents of the young and old generation alike.

Although paperwork and the long lines were met with initial irritation and dissatisfaction, the atmosphere soon turned to a festive mood heartened by the arrival of coconuts, mango slices, watermelon, and a wonderful Indian dinner. It was almost as if the convention was testing the crowd's patience at the beginning, only to reward them with a humorous atmosphere and a fabulous feast at the banquet. Mistakes and slip-ups coupled with complaints about the long distances people had to walk to get from exhibit to exhibits were not made out of ignorance but rather out of over-excessive zeal and spirit of the committee members. Organizing an event of this magnitude also has its downsides, and there were a few setbacks and things that we wish happened on a different note but we all learn from our experiences and always strive to do better with renewed vigor. Resilience is the core of TANA members and supporters, and I am highly confident that we can showcase this now and in the future.

We hope that the superior sound lighting, stage decoration, the elegantly and prominently displayed TANA convention logo, and of course the intensity of emotions surrounding the main events made everything worth it. Hopefully all of you enjoyed the dynamic, rich, and exhilarating atmosphere we worked so hard to create.

On behalf of the organization l extend my thanks once more to all TANA members for your contribution to this success. You all have braved the hectic schedules to be part of this convention and make it a resounding success by being there. Thanks to all the invitees; chief guests, spiritual leaders, dignitaries, speakers, businesses, exhibitors, performers, attendees, donors and sponsors for their overwhelming support.

Many thanks to all the committees and committee members who have worked extra-long hours to also introduce new innovative programs this year and in the process helped us all to put together an awesome convention. I would also like to thank the hundreds of volunteers for their dedication to service. TANA conventions aim to interact, entertain, socialize, network, learn and educate seniors and youngsters alike in all areas, and I must say this was successfully achieved.

It was a pleasure to meet and greet all you all and I hope you continue to carry the good memories of our 19th convention and extend your continuous support to future TANA programs and events.

Looking back with weary but intrigued faces, we are just as astonished as everyone else at the amount of dedication, perseverance and imagination that was put into this event. If we could put all the emotions we felt and attach it to this email we would, but no one had invented such a useful addendum. But if I had to sum it up into one last word it would belief. And that belief would be in TANA, forever and always.
