Philadelphia Telugu Community hosted a dinner reception in honor of Industrialist Sri CM Ramesh, Sri Thummala Nageswara Rao Ex Minister & M.L.A and Mr. Errabelli Dayakara rao M.L.A., during their visit to Philadelphia on Sunday 28th June, 2009. Their visit is being coordinated by Dr. Ramesh & Sailaja Eluri; Dr. Eluri family also sponsored the dinner reception, which was held from 6:00 PM to 10PM at their residence. The event was attended by more than 100 people.
Dr. Ramesh Eluri introduced Sri CM Ramesh, Sri Thummala Nageswar Rao & Sri Errabelli Dayakar Rao and welcomed the guests and the audience. During the welcome speech, he provided a glimpse of Sri Thummala Nageswar Rao & Sri Errabelli Dayakar Rao’s career in politics including their goals and achievements. Harnath Doddapaneni remembered his association with CM Ramesh, Thummala Nageswara rao & Errabelli Dayakar Rao and briefed their achievements. Mr. CM Ramesh made a inspirational speech about the state of affairs in Andhra Pradesh. Sri Thummala Nageswar Rao & Sri Errabelli Dayakar Rao spoke for more than an hour on various topics that affect the Telugus in India and abroad. They answered a few questions from audience on topics ranging from recent attacks on Telugu students in Australia to Telanagana issue to need for better health care.
On this occasion, Telugu Desam party activists pledged that they will continue to adhere to Telugu Desam’s policies and principles and will do their best in bringing back TDP to power. They also recalled the revolutionary changes implemented by TDP and bringing enormous recognition to Telugu People across the globe.
Harnath Doddapaneni & Ravi Potluri coordinated the event. Prominent Telugu community members Ramana Ganne, Dr. Ramesh Paruchuri, Kotapati Sambasiva rao, Kosaraju Saradhi, Dasari Sateesh, Sambaiah Kotapati, Mohana Krishna Mannava, Venkat Garikapati, Jithendra Atluri, Anil Boppudi, Bala Karanam, Sudhakar Pavuluri, Vasanth, Dr. Jaindar, Madhav Reddy, Ravi Veeravalli, Ravi Mandalapu & Sai Vuyyuru etc attended the event.
The program for the evening was ended with a Vote of Thanks by Ravi Potluri ; the event was a grand success due to contributions from several volunteers Bala Bolla, Sagar Vattikonda, Phani, Praveen who deserve an applause and recognition.
