The overseas chapter of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and overseas friends of Bharatiya Janata Party (OBJP) is hosting Perala Chandrasekhar who is the national leader and Convener of Security Cell under the leadership of Shri. Narendra Modi.
Upon the invitation from the overseas chapters Chandrasekhar graced the Dallas crowd enroute his extensive tour of more than 15 cities in the USA.
Over 150 members converged at Hilltop Indian Cuisine in Dallas, TX where Suresh Manduva Past President, Telugu Association of North Texas (TANTEX) welcomed the guest and introduced him to the audience.
Gopi Chilakuru the core member overseeing the trip of Chandrasekhar addressed the crowd with highlights from Chandrasekhar’s life. He explained how Chandrasekhar devoted 35 years of his life in RSS, VHP, ABVP, Sangh Parivars before finally moving to Bharatiya Janata Party in 2007.
Chandrasekhar is currently the convener of Security Council for the Northeastern states of India.
A dedicated worker who participated in many movements such as Kashmir movement, Ayodhya movement e.t.c., Gopi Chilakuru expressed that he is privileged to have his mentor to be in the United States whom he calls as his idol. He mentioned that Chandrasekhar (also called as Sekharji) is fondly called as Narendra Modi of the south.
Later Chandrasekhar utilizing the Google Earth maps presented the current scenario of the Northeastern states and the various problems faced by the external forces from the neighboring countries.
He mentioned under the able leadership of Modi positive changes are being noted which is considered a healthy sign. He mentioned an all-round development is being seen within the 100 days of Modi administering oath of office.
Post presentation the inquisitive audience posted many questions and Sekharji took time and answered them tolerantly. Many local and associations honored the guest in town.
