ATA D.C. Health Camp was successful

American Telugu Association (ATA) organized FREE Health Camp in DC metro area,  on Sunday, August 20th, 2017. The Health Fair was held in Herndon Community Center. 

More than 20 doctors, 15 student volunteers, and 10 Giant Pharmacy staff provided services in this event. More than 200 people primarily senior citizens attended and benefited from this Health Camp.

The Health Camp started with Meditation by Art of Living followed by Yoga by Ashburn Traditional Yoga and went on to focus on health screenings, BMI, Blood Pressure, Glucose Check, Lipid Check followed by Primary Care Physician Consultation, Diabetes, Podiatry, Dentistry, Cardiology, Neurology, Oncology and Ob-gyn Consultation. 

ATA D.C. Team comprising of Soumya Kondapalli( Secretary), Trustees:Jayanth Challa and Bhuvnesh Boojala, Dr. Venkat Addanki (ATA Heath Committee Chair),  Regional Coordinators Rammohan Surineni, Sudheer Bandaru and Amar Bojja, Koushik Sama, (ATA Sports Committee co-chair), Ravi Palla(Business Committee, Chair) and Jayender Annam and many others helped in this event.

ATA sincerely thanks all the doctors who spent their valuable time to provide free services at the event. ATA also thanks Pilupu TV and TV6 for providing the media coverage.
