The Congress leadership in Telangana is going through a strange situation. While there are several senior leaders in the party, it is still facing bankruptcy of leadership to take on the mighty Telangana Rashtra Samithi. Everybody thinks one day, the party would get a Baahubali to revive the party’s glory.
However, of late, the party leaders have strangely started pampering senior Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader and irrigation minister T Harish Rao.
Senior leaders like Sarvey Satyanarayana has openly predicted that Harish would be joining the Congress party shortly.
Describing Harish Rao as a good leader and hard worker, TPCC leader Umesh Rao, a cousin of Harish who joined the Congress few years ago opposing Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao seriously, has said that it would be good for the Congress party in case Harish Rao joins the party.
He said Harish has no need to continue in the TRS party facing insults, and made it clear that Congress party was best for Harish Rao.
The Congress party will benefit with the joining of Harish Rao at this juncture and the future of Harish Rao was also expected to be bright in the Congress, he said.
May be, the Congress leaders are dreaming that Harish would split the TRS if KCR declares his son K T Rama Rao as heir apparent in 2019. If it happens, Harish has no option but to join the Congress and it would help the party immensely, say the Congress leaders.
