Time, KCR Gets His Act Right

Time, KCR Gets His Act Right

An interesting story has appeared in an English daily.

According to the story, though the Telangana MLAs and MPs maintain solidarity publicly, many are worried about the style of functioning of the Telangana government, off the record.

The story says that many are worried that the TRS government hasn’t started functioning as yet. Many of them feel that what has happened till now was more of political show than people-oriented governance.

One TRS MLA felt that the ruling T government must have handled the power crisis more swiftly. Another MLA felt that when Chandra Babu blamed Telangana of not tackling the power crisis deftly, the Telangana leaders could not revert back properly.

While there is nothing wrong in making populist political statements, it is more important to get the desired impact at the end of it. Also, the ministers don’t have the freedom to take any decisions whatsoever.

KCR publicly admonishing deputy minister Rajaiah and finance minister Eetela Rajender has spread discontent among other cabinet ministers.

The TRS leaders are worried that no matter what the ministers are asked, they insist that the CM’s permission is required to do or say anything and everything.

Another sore point is that though KCR had claimed that there would be yet another cabinet expansion in July, nothing has happened till now. There are others who feel that the government’s image has taken a beating during the budget sessions.

Given this scenario, TRS is providing ample scope for opposition parties to tear them apart, feel TRS insiders. Finally, it is time KCR got his act right!
