These TDP Leaders Are Very Strange!

Not long ago, Telugu Desam Party leader and Vijayawada (East) MLA Jaleel Khan hit the headlines in the media for asserting that he had indeed studied physics and maths in B Com.

In an interview to a web-based television channel, Khan defended himself and even questioned the anchor for lack of knowledge. Finally, he turned out to be just a matriculate from a private tutorial college.

Interestingly, another TDP legislator came into limelight on Monday for his strange food habits. And the interviewer was the same person who exposed Jaleel Khan.

This MLA is Ramanjaneyulu Pulaparthi alias Anjibabu, representing Bhimavaram. He was in the Congress party for a long time before taking a plunge into the TDP in the last elections and won the Bhimavaram seat.

In the interview, the MLA has claimed that he has a strange background.

“I had survived only on milk till I attained the age of 20. I have not eaten any solid food including rice. I used to drink milk all those years. I never felt like eating any other food,” he said.

The interviewer was surprised at this and wondered a person can survive only with milk.

“I can understand one would drink milk for first four or five years. Even after that, why didn’t you take rice?” he asked.

“No, I never felt like eating rice. It was only when I was to get married at the age of 20, I was compelled to develop the habit of eating rice. My relatives feared that I may not get a good alliance, if I don’t eat proper meals,” he said.

The MLA said even now he would eat only a little food. “I just take a little quantity of rice at lunch. For dinner, I eat some light tiffin and milk,” he said.

And this gentleman also happens to be “viyyankudu” (brother-in-law relation) of Andhra minister for higher education Ganta Srinivasa Rao. However, unlike Ganta, Anjibabu has very good name in the constituency.
