Poor Sashi Tharoor is caught between his loyalty to the Gandhi family and his personal problems.
One the one hand, he owes everything to the Gandhi family and this explains his rise in politics despite vehement opposition to him in the Kerala Congress Party.
At the same time, the BJP is trying to woo him and he cannot reject their overtures because of the ongoing investigation into the murder of his wife, Sunanda Pushkar.
Hence, once in a while, he is making positive statements about Narendra Modi. But these acts are making Sonia Gandhi furious and she even ticked him off publicly at the recent Party meeting.
