Prime Minster, Narendra Modi says our ABCD style of working has to be replaced with ROAD style of functioning.
While ABCD stands for ‘Avoid’, ‘Bypass’, ‘Confuse’ and ‘Delay’, ROAD means, ‘Responsibility’, ‘Ownership’, ‘Accountability’ and ‘Discipline’.
In terms of ‘ease of doing business’, India is ranked 142. Modi intends to see India enter into the top 50 and has taken the suggestions of the top 23 bureaucrats in the country for reforming policy and procedures to boost his ‘Make in India’ clarion call.
Ultimately, only time will be able to tell whether Modi’s efforts will bear fruit and put India really on par with other developed nations or whether he will just go down in history as the ‘Dale Carnegie’ of India.
