Raghuveera, Too, Avoid Naidu

APCC chief N Raghuveera Reddy, too, has joined the YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy in deciding to stay away from the swearing-in ceremony of AP Chief Minister-designate N Chandrababu Naidu for his swearing-in at Guntur on Sunday.

Raghuveera told media that he had received a call from Naidu to attend the ceremony.

He said he congratulated Naidu for taking over as the new CM of AP post bifurcation.

“But, I am not willing to attend the program as it will lead to much inconvenience to me and the TDP leaders. Though, I received a personal call from Naidu, I cannot make it to his swearing in which will be followed by a public meeting,” Raghuveera stated.

He suggested that people of Telangana gave power to TRS in the region and TDP in Andhra Pradesh. These two governments should now focus on development and welfare of their states, he said.

He exuded confidence that AP will develop on par with other States as the BJP Government at the Centre is likely to extend full cooperation. There is a possibility for AP development as State Reorganisation Bill incorporated all issues, Reddy said.
