No Peace Of Mind For Naidu In US

Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has gone on a week-long tour to US in the name of attracting investments to the state and at the same time to escape from the summer heat.

It should have been an official-cum-pleasure trip for Naidu, as he would avoid the opposition onslaught at least for a few days. But sources in the TDP say Naidu has no peace of mind even in the US.

First, the reports of the growing discontent among red chilli farmers due to lack of adequate remunerative prices caused a lot of worry to Naidu, who had to do teleconferencing with the officials from the US and instruct the marketing department officials to ensure purchase of chilli even on Saturday and Sunday at a better price.

Secondly, there is a large scale drinking water crisis across the state and people are hitting the streets in protest against the government. Naidu is getting regular feedback from his party leaders as to how people are responding to the problem.

And most importantly, Naidu is also worried about his son Nara Lokesh handling the party affairs. Whether he is afraid that Lokesh would take the reins of the party completely or ruin the party in his absence is also a matter of concern for Naidu.
