Naidu, Real Brain Behind Pawan Meeting?

Naidu, Real Brain Behind Pawan Meeting?

The instant decision by power star and Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan to address a public meeting at Tirupati has baffled many, but political pundits suspect that there is more to the power star’s move than what meets the eye.

Pawan has come to Tirupati to call on the family of his fan who was killed in scuffle with Junior NTR fan, but he suddenly took a decision to hold a public meeting the following day. Everybody knows it is not so easy to organise such a big public meeting within 24 hours of giving a call; so, it is surprising how he could do that.

What is more surprising is the way Jana Sena could get permission from the police and the Tirupati Municipal Corporation officials without any hassles.

Normally, the police put a lot of hurdles in giving permission for public meetings by political parties and take a lot of time to give the approval after reviewing the security issues. This has given rise to suspicion that the meeting was planned well in advance and it had the blessings of Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

Apparently, Naidu has realised that the special category issue might turn out to be his nemesis and it would largely help the YSR Congress party. Moreover, elections are due in several municipalities and corporations in coastal Andhra and if the TDP loses, it would begin the fall of Naidu’s regime.

That is why, Naidu is said to have roped in Pawan Kalyan to neutralise the impact of YSRC by taking up the special category status issue.

It is an open secret that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would not budge on the issue, though leaders in Andhra continue to talk about it. So, there will not be much impact even if Pawan takes up the cause. But that would divert the people’s attention from YSRC to Pawan.

In his speech, Pawan has not made any serious comments against either Modi or Naidu, but only talked about the special category status issue. And he is going to address meetings in those towns, where the municipal elections are going to be held. It would indirectly benefit the TDP and split the anti-Naidu votes so that YSRC would be on the losing side!
