Compared to Chandraabu Naidu in Andhra Pradesh, KCR's position is somewhat better in Telangana. But there is no denying the fact that both the TDP and TRS within three years of their rule are facing severe incumbency.
KCR has not managed to fulfil a single promise made during his election campaign. He is being labelled as a CM of words and no action.
Luckily for him, there is no strong opposition to him in Telangana unlike in Andhra Pradesh where the YCP is giving sleepless nights to the TDP. Against this backdrop, the general perception that KTR is being groomed to take over from his dad in 2019.
KCR earned an unfavourable reputation in Delhi because of his constant tirades during the Telangana agitation. That has been ofsset to a large extent by the tech-savvy, educated KTR. This has been vouched by prominent journalist Rajdeep Sardesai who hailed KTR as a visionary. Even sources in TRS feel that the party would be better off with KTR leading it in 2019.
