KTR, Kavita In 'Singareni Job Scam' Row!

The recruitment exam to fill nearly 470 junior assistant posts in Singareni Collieries that was conducted on October 10 in Telangana creates a political furore in state.

The son and daughter of Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao are facing severe allegations of involving in 'job scam'.

Opposition parties  and student organisations point out that the recruitment results announced recently prove beyond doubt that there were largescale irregularities is selection of candidates and Nizambad MP and daughter of KCR, K.Kavita and IT minister and son of KCR, K.T.Rama Rao were involved in this job racket.

Opposition parties and student organisation question how was it possible that two each from 70 families, with same surname got the jobs, how 301 candidates who applied for the posts have same surname "Bandi" and how 231 candidates have same surname  "Bandari"m 298 candidates have surname of "Thota", 165 candidates have surname of "Pothu" and 149 candidates have "Uppu" surname.

OUJAC chairman Manavata Roy alleged that Kavita was involved in the job scam in her position as leader of Singareni Karmika Sangham, while Congress leaders questioned the visit of KTR to Telangana State Public Service Commission's office. 

Opposition parties and student organisations are demanding the cancellation of exam, re-conduct the exam and order CBI probe into the issue to bring to light the involvement of 'big heads' in the job racket.

However, Kavita and KTR denied any role in job recruitment exam saying that the exam was conducted by JNTU-Hyderabad in a transparent manner and Singareni Collieries had no role in selection of candidates.
