There is always a buzz surrounding 'power struggle' within TRS party and TRS government between Legislative Affairs minister Harish Rao, who happens to be the nephew of Telangana Chief Minister KCR, and KTR, the IT minister and only son of CM.
Though both have denied of any power struggle between them several times earlier, it failed to put to rest the speculations on this issue.
Last week, KTR remarked in a public meeting in Medak that there is a ‘healthy competition’ between him and Harish, which is confined only to development of their constituencies.
But TRS MLAs and leaders seem to have drawn other conclusions, who were seen splitting in the House in support of both the leaders in the just-concluded monsoon session of TS Legislative Assembly.
When KTR spoke for over an hour on his pet project, Telangana Water Grid, few ministers and MLAs were seen thumping desks in House while few others remained quiet.
The next day, when Harish Rao spoke at length on his pet project “Mission Kakatiya”, the other set of ministers and MLAs were seen giving a standing ovation to him, while some others simply ignored.
Political analysts expect to unfold many more developments in the coming months which would indicate ‘power struggle’ between the two.
