KCR Denies Foreign Trip Chance To Speaker!

KCR Denies Foreign Trip Chance To Speaker!

Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is learnt to have caused a big disappointment to assembly speaker S Madhusudhana Chary by denying him a chance to go abroad in the name of attending a conference.

Chary, along with assembly secretary Raj Sadaram, are scheduled to go to London for attending the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association meet from December 13 to 20. It is a rare opportunity for them, as no other politician or official has got a big chance to go abroad officially, except KCR’s minister son K T Rama Rao and daughter K Kavitha.

However, KCR asked the speaker and the secretary to stay back in Hyderabad since his government has decided to hold the assembly session any day after December 15.

The Chief Minister is holding district collectors’ conference on December 13 and 14 and it would be followed by the winter session of the assembly.

Sources said the speaker had requested KCR to convene the assembly from December 22, after his return from London. However, the chief minister did not agree for it, stating that it was not proper to run the assembly during Christmas vacations. The winter session is likely to be continued for a week.

The opposition has been demanding to convene assembly session to discuss many pressing problems of the people. Issues like bifurcation of districts, revenue loss on account of demonetization, state government’s pursuit for cashless transactions and other issues likely to come up in the session.
