KCR Can Be CM If He Allies With Cong!

Some Telangana Congress leaders still seem to have hopes on forging an alliance with the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, if not a merger, though TRS president K Chandrasekhara Rao has ruled out both.

Former Government Chief Whip Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy on Tuesday said that the TRS would become a ruling party and KCR the Chief Minister, if it prefers to have a truck with the Congress. Otherwise the TRS will remain an opposition in Telangana state.

Senior Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao also urged the TRS president to have a rethinking on his decision not to merge the TRS with the Congress. He said that KCR is indulging in double standards with regard to merger of his party into the Congress fold as it was stated by Seemandhra leaders. He alleged that KCR is taking a reverse turn after Telangana got statehood.

He suggested that KCR should take a decision on the merger after holding talks with his party, JAC and students organizations.
