If reports from New Delhi are to be believed, glamorous actress of yesteryears and former MP Jayaprada has drawn blank even with the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Jayaprada has lavished praises on the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and even expressed her willingness to contest the Delhi elections, if she got the BJP ticket.
There were reports that she, along with her friend-philosopher-guide Amar Singh might join the saffron party sooner or later. However, sources said, the top BJP leadership has not evinced any interest in Amar Singh or Jayaprada.
Reason: Amar Singh has faded out in UP politics and Jayaprada, too, has lost her charm to garner votes for the saffron party.
It may be mentioned that Jayaprada had even tried to make a footing in the Telangana Rashtra Samithi. She met TRS leader and minister T Harish Rao, but he could not even identify the actress. Since she is from Rajahmundry and had once opposed the Telangana formation, the TRS has not shown any interest in taking her.
