Former Sangareddy MLA and BJP candidate for Medak Lok Sabha seat in the by-elections Toorupu Jayaprakash Reddy alias Jagga Reddy was never against formation of Telangana although he supported united Andhra Pradesh along with a few others.
This was the strange argument put forth by Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy on Thursday.
He said Jagga Reddy’s support for Samaikhyandhra did not make him a betrayer of Telangana.
“Jagga Reddy does not need the certificate of Telangana Rashtra Samithi to prove his commitment for Telangana,” Kishan Reddy said.
Strongly defending the party's decision to nominate Jagga Reddy as its candidate for the Medak Lok Sabha by-elections, Kishan Reddy said Jagga Reddy began his political career from the BJP.
He accused Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of giving tickets to betrayers of Telangana just for the sake of money.
He said the failures of TRS Government in the last three month would be the BJP's agenda for Medak by-polls.
