If I Am An Extremist, So Is KCR: Kodandaram

Telangana Joint Action Committee chairman Prof M Kodandaram has intensified his voice against Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for trying to crush the proposed rally of the “unemployed” in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

Soon after the High Court denying permission for holding the rally in Hyderabad and suggesting that it could be held on the outskirts of the city, Kodandaram found fault with the Hyderabad police for submitting an affidavit in the court saying there were several cases against Kodandaram who had an extremist background and that there was a possibility of extremist elements indulging in violence in the name of the unemployed rally.

“All the cases against me were filed during the movement for separate Telangana movement. Same cases were filed even against KCR and his party leaders. If I am an extremist, then KCR also should be considered an extremist,” Kodandaram said.

He said it was unfortunate on the part of the police to call the unemployed youth participating in the rally as extremists.

“We had to face these allegations during the combined state. But even after achieving Telangana state, we are facing the same allegations,” he regretted.
