Has Lokesh Improved In Articulation?

It looks like Telugu Desam Party general secretary and Andhra Pradesh IT minister Nara Lokesh is showing signs of improvement in interacting with people and answering questions from people with a lot of patience.

It was evident from the way he has answered embarrassing questions from a youth during his interaction with people in Nellore district recently.

The youth, appeared to be a fan of YSR Congress party, tried to irritate Lokesh by loudly asking questions, but the latter patiently answered his queries and even reprimanded the local TDP workers who tried to stop him.

The youth insisted that he would ask three questions, though Lokesh asked him to confine to only one question.

Question no. 1: You want Jagan to go to jail, but why are you protecting Revanth who was caught red-handed in cash-for-vote scam?

2. Why was the TDP supporting demonetisation, which caused severe impact on the common people?

3. When everybody is demanding special category status, why isn’t the TDP supporting the demand?

The man was virtually shouting at Lokesh, but the latter asked him to be cool before he answered.

Seeking to know whether he agreed that Jagan was a corrupt person who deserved to be in jail, the TDP general secretary declared that if Revanth was proved guilty, the TDP would not hesitate to send him to jail.

On the demonetisation, he admitted that it had caused difficulties to the people initially, but in the long run it would be extremely beneficial to the state, because it would result in lowering of taxes, fall in land prices and reduction in bank rates.

“We have already started witnessing the positive effects of demonetisation,” he said.

On the special category status, Lokesh said the TDP government had to accept the special financial package offered by the centre in lieu of special status, since it brought more benefits to the state.

“We can fight with the NDA government, but if we don’t get funds from the Centre, who will take responsibility? Will Jagan take it?” he asked.

He also pointed out that setting up of industries had nothing to do with special status.

“How did Volkswagen come to AP? Why is Hero Motors setting up its unit in the state?” he asked.
