Harish Made Scapegoat In Mallanna Sagar Issue?

Harish Made Scapegoat In Mallanna Sagar Issue?

If the hush talk going on in the Telangana Rashtra Samithi circles is to be believed, Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao has been made a scapegoat in the Mallanna Sagar lift irrigation scheme controversy that is snowballing into a major agitation.

At a time when there was a stiff resistance from farmers of 14 villages in surrendering their land for the project and the situation is turning from bad to worse, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and his son K T Rama Rao have remained unmoved, leaving the entire burden on Harish to resolve the crisis.

And Harish has been trying his best to convince the farmers, but with the Opposition parties entering the fray and making the issue more complicated, Harish remained helpless.

Party sources say had KCR intervened in the issue and announced a solution, situation would not have come to this stage. But KCR remained silent and he also asked his son KTR to keep away from the issue. As a result, Harish has become a loner in the hour of crisis.

He reportedly met the Chief Minister and complained to him that the local police were not listening to him and their highhanded behaviour has led to the present situation.

He also told KCR that if Mallanna Sagar issue was not resolved amicably, it would bring bad name to the entire TRS and not him.
