Drug racket: Chasing small fish, leaving big sharks!

The interrogation of a dozen film personalities from Tollywood in connection with their alleged links with the drug peddling racket is like hunting for small fish, leaving the big sharks.

This was stated by senior Congress MLA from Gadwal and former minister D K Aruna.

She wondered why the government was not revealing the names of the big sharks in the drugs case.

Even 12-year-old students addicting to drugs shows how the drug culture is spreading in the State, she stated.

She also alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was deceiving the people with his mesmerising talk.

When the Congress leader Digvijay Singh tweeted the nexus between politicians and mafia leaders, IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao took strong exception to it and turned tables on the Congress leader, she said.

Aruna described KCR as the inexperienced and inefficient chief minister and maintained that the people would teach the TRS a bitter lesson in the next Assembly elections.

She exuded confidence that the Congress would come to power after the next polls.

Meanwhile, Congress MLA T Jeevan Reddy and TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy also alleged that KCR’s son K T Rama Rao and TRS leaders had links with several pubs in Hyderabad, where drugs were available in abundance.

They demanded a judicial inquiry into the drug peddling cases.
