If the allegations of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi are true, actor-turned-politician and Jana Sena founder Pawan Kalyan was the man behind bringing Toorpu Jayaprakash Reddy alias Jagga Reddy back into the Bharatiya Janata Party and securing him the party ticket for Medak Parliamentary seat.
TRS leader and irrigation minister T Harish Rao said it was unfortunate that the BJP had stooped down to the level of succumbing to the lobby of Pawan Kalyan to nominate Jagga Reddy for the Medak by-elections.
There were reports that Jagga Reddy sought the help of Pawan Kalyan to recommend his name to the BJP top leadership for the party ticket and the latter had readily obliged the request.
It may be mentioned that Pawan Kalyan had openly expressed his admiration for Jagga Reddy, who used to take on the TRS with strong force. Since then, Jagga Reddy too has become a fan for Pawan Kalyan and both shared the dais a few times.
If reports are to believe, the Jana Sena founder might even campaign for Jagga Reddy in the Medak by-elections.
