With time, priorities change and celebrities are smart enough to understand this. They change and adapt to changing times.
Right now, Chiranjeevi is in a similar situation. After reaching a fad end of his career, he entered politics by founding the Praja Rajyam party in 2009. Then, depending on the situation, he merged PRP with the Congress and eventually became the union tourism minister.
During 2014 elections, he was made the poll in-charge of Congress in Seemandhra. But he could not give the appropriate push and the party did not win at least one seat in Seemandhra.
Now, Chiranjeevi is contemplating to get back to his first love, films. Already he has been holding discussions with various directors to work on his 150th film which has been put on hold due to his political ambitions.
Incidentally, since the Congress party has been wiped out all over India, Chiranjeevi has been relegated to playing a nominal role within the party. So, it is being said that he now wants to make use of his spare time by acting in films.
Accordingly, Chiranjeevi has been distancing himself from various anti-government demonstrations held by Congress in Hyderabad, say tinsel ville insiders.
Another gossip doing rounds among political circles is that though the Congress High Command is keen on giving him key responsibilities in Andhra Pradesh Congress, Chiranjeevi is said to be averse to the idea.
Meanwhile, there is mixed response regarding his efforts to get back to films. Mega fans feel the canvas has changed with Pawan Kalyan being in top form and Ram Charan and Allu Arjun doing well at the box-office.
So, many feel that Chiranjeevi should not attempt doing a film unless he is very confident of recreating his past magic.
Hence, Chiranjeevi is now in a rather difficult phase of life, where he is being looked upon as a misfit in both politics and films.
Ironically, the mega star himself seems to be aware of this situation. Though mega star’s strategy is unclear, his fans are happy about their star returning to the big screen. But at the same time, they fear that his returning to films might mean his bidding good-bye to politics.
