Senior actor and Hindupur TDP MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna is seriously playing the role of an active politician these days, though he still treats acting as full-time activity.
Balayya is regularly visiting his constituency and is personally supervising developmental works, besides holding meetings with officials to discuss development of Hindpur.
On Saturday, Balayya had a lengthy meeting with officials to work out a plan to develop his constituency industrially. He said IT industries would be invited to set up their firms for providing employment to youth in his constituency.
Later, speaking to the media at Hindupur R&B guest house, Bala Krishna said a large number of women were migrating to Karnataka to work in garments industry.
Efforts would be made to prevent the migration of women and an alternative employment would be provided to them by setting up garment industries locally.
“We will try to establish a Central university in Hindupur”, he added.
