Two young women from Telangana, who had moved to the United States to pursue higher education and career opportunities, were tragically killed in a car accident in California.
The victims have been identified as 25-year-old Pulakhandam Meghana Rani from Garla in Mahbubabad district and 24-year-old Kadiyala Bhavana from Mulkanoor. The accident occurred on Sunday at around 4 pm local time.
Meghana and Bhavana were travelling with a group of eight friends who were touring the Alabama Hills region in two cars.
According to reports, the car they were in failed to negotiate a curve, veered off the road, and plunged into a valley, resulting in their deaths.
Both women had moved to the US three years ago. They had recently completed their MS degrees and were actively seeking employment.
The tragic news has left their families and loved ones in deep shock and grief.
