Ashok Babu's Graph Goes Down?

Ashok Babu's Graph Goes Down?

APNGO’s president Ashok Babu is drawing flak from all quarters. Earlier, he made tall claims and threatened that he will gherao the Assembly with 1 lakh supporters if the Telangana Bill is introduced in the state assembly.

However, four days after the bill has been submitted to the Assembly, he has not translated any of his threats into action. This is clearly turning into a problem for him.

Meanwhile, in a fresh demand, Ashok Babu has asked all the parties supporting the Samaikyandhra cause to come up with a unanimous statement. He also announced that he will come up with a plan of action for dealing with the T Bill on December 21.

There are quite a few allegations against Ashok Babu already. He has been accused of towing the line of Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and ignoring other parties that support the cause of Samaikyandhra.

Allegations have also been raised against him for criticizing union ministers from the Seemandhra and shrewdly staying away from some sections that support bifurcation. This has resulted in his having differences of opinion with other AP NGO leaders.

Earlier, when the AP NGOs agitated for Samaikyandhra for two months, Ashok Babu’s graph shot up. But now, we can see his popularity dip. And this is being attributed to the ambiguous statements he has been making.

One thing is clear. Four days have passed since the T Bill has been introduced in the Assembly. But nothing has transpired to the extent that Ashok Babu has promised. Has he lost his reckoning among AP NGOs? Or have the employees lost their faith in the agitation? Whatever is the case, looks like things are surely not going his way!
