Director Anil Ravipudi has delivered consecutive Sankranthi blockbusters, firmly strengthening his position among the top filmmakers in Telugu cinema.
During Sankranthi 2025, he scored a massive success with Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, which went on to gross around Rs 260 crore worldwide.
While it is still too early to estimate the final numbers of his latest hit, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, the film has already shown strong box office momentum and has a long run ahead.
With back-to-back festive successes, Anil Ravipudi has clearly moved beyond the tag of being “just another hit director.”
He has now established himself as one of the most bankable directors in the industry. Industry circles believe that his market value and remuneration should reflect this consistency.
In comparison, Boyapati Srinu’s success graph has been more inconsistent, with a mix of hits and misses.
Notably, he is yet to deliver a film that has crossed the Rs 200 crore mark at the box office. Despite this, Boyapati reportedly charged around Rs 35 crore as remuneration for Akhanda 2.
Anil Ravipudi, on the other hand, has so far been charging approximately Rs 18 crore per film.
Given his current success streak, he is expected to demand a significantly higher fee, possibly in the range of Rs 30 crore, for his upcoming projects.
Meanwhile, after the reported failure of Akhanda 2, Boyapati’s remuneration may see a correction and might not go beyond Rs 25 crore.
All signs indicate that Anil Ravipudi has surged ahead on the popularity and market-value scale, overtaking Boyapati in terms of current range and box office credibility.
