The outcome of the MLC elections in Telangana as well as Andhra Pradesh is definitely a fitting lesson to the Chief Ministers of both the States – K Chandrasekhar Rao and N Chandrababu Naidu, who have taken the people for granted.
The defeat of TRS candidate G Devi Prasada Rao in the Graduates Constituency comprising Mahbubnagar, Rangareddy and Hyderabad districts has definitely come as a rude shock to the TRS president, as he thought of exploiting the Telangana sentiment once again to garner votes.
It should also be an eye-opener for KCR and he should not take the Opposition parties lightly.
Similarly, in the MLC elections to teachers’ constituency in East Godavari district, Telugu Desam Party candidate Chaitanya Raju lost the elections to a Communist candidate.
This will definitely be a setback for Naidu, as he thought the people had endorsed his decision to join hands with the BJP. He must have realized that the people are gradually getting disgusted with his non-implementation of promises and empty talk.
