Nostaliga: RGV’s Loss- EVV’s Gain

It’s something nostalgic to know. This might come across as a surprise to you but then even Ram Gopal Varma can make mistakes when it comes to the choice of his songs. Here is a classic example that came to light recently. This happened during the making of his film ‘Govinda Govinda’ which had Nagarjuna and Sridevi in the lead.
 
The music for the film was composed by the duo of Raj – Koti. It seems that they came up with the song ’Kannepittaro kannukottaro..’ at that point and wanted to use it in ‘Govinda Govinda’. However, Ramu was not appealed. It seems they tried to convince him but he didn’t budge.
 
After a while, the same song was taken by EVV Satyanarayana for his new film ‘Hello Brother’ and the film went onto become a hit while the song became a super hit. This also elevated the duo of Raj-Koti to the top league. Wonder what Ramu has to say to this now…
