The ladies of B-Town feel that there are gender disparities with respect to remuneration.
Actresses like Kangana Ranaut, Deepika Padukone, have all raised their voice over this issue and pointed out the fact that even when the ladies are the ones running the show, they should be given just as much as their male co-stars. But looks like the Fitoor team decided to put an end to this hassle.
Next week’s big release Fitoor seems to have solved the pay-parity issue. Apparently, both Katrina and Aditya were paid 4 crore each for the film.
Says a Bollywood source, “Katrina is senior to Aditya Roy Kapur. So it was felt she should be paid on par with Aditya. In fact, the actor should have been paid much less. Since he is producer Siddharth Roy Kapur’s brother, he got the kind of money that he wouldn’t have otherwise demanded and got.”
