Well, news is that the Paryatak Bhavan which was part of the AP Tourism till recently was running into losses due to poor administration and lack of marketing. Now, it is heard that this has been leased out to a private individual for remodelling it on par with star hotel. Buzz is that the work is going on inside and soon, a grand opening will happen again.
While that is one side, it is also heard that this place could also become a hub for some shady activities. Inside talk is that few top ranking government officials and elected representatives who are in very good terms with the management of the hotel have already entered into an understanding that few rooms would be catered to their ‘personal needs’.
