Politics is a dirty game and it has become quite stinky in India thanks to the democratic system. The key reason for that happens to be the politicians and how they misuse the power entrusted to them by the masses. Many came in with ideals and all of them got washed away in the corrupt practices. But here is one man who has stood up against the tides of the dirty system and wants to bring a transformation.
He is none other than Anna Hazare and after his tirade against corruption he has now decided to join the political bandwagon. But will his vision and mission be successful? In our own state we have Jayaprakash Narayan. He came with Lok Satta. And became the MLA of Kukatpally. During his early days, JP came with lot of ideals but let's talk some reality. Kukatpally is in the worst shape today be it roads, sanitation and infrastructure.
Same is the case with Chiranjeevi. He promised heaven and earth but today his party doesn't exist and he is still struggling to get a proper identity in the congress party. Be it JP or Chiru, in the bargain it is the common man who pays the price. So, how different will it be if Anna Hazare joins the field. Ultimately, the system is such that even someone like Anna would get sucked into it.
Getting into the political system in India is akin to the saying that all roads lead to Rome and all movements lead to power craving. For that matter, even the Telangana movement our state has seen nothing but a craving for power at the cost of heavy damages to the state. Amidst this chaos, it is hard to expect Anna to do something remarkable. It is not too late. Perhaps his advisors should get a dose of reality and then plunge into this quagmire.
