Will 'Telugu Congress' Be Successful In Telangana?

Revanth Reddy is appointed as the new PCC President of Telangana. He deserves hearty congratulations for getting this position after a long wait and suspense.

But is this the right decision by the Congress Party? Let me put across my view point.

From now onwards, the Revanth Reddy led Congress party in Telangana may be called 'Telugu Congress' because he still behaves like living under the shadow of 'Telugu' Desam Party head Chandababu Naidu.

Revanth may say that he came out from TDP and joined Congress. But his mind and soul are still attached to his TDP roots and hence he keeps on praising Chandrababu Naidu sitting in the pro TDP channels.

People can believe that he is free from any such shadow only when he voices out and criticises CBN boldly. But he cannot do that owing to his vote for note case and other personal or business dealings.

Revanth Reddy cannot lead Telangana Congress because he has no staunch Reddy support in this area just for the reason of his association with TDP. The BCs and other communities are also not with him.

The only people that support him in Telangana are some Kammas (because of his TDP shadow) whose number is almost non-existent.

Congress has the legacy of standing as an opponent to TDP from the beginning. But Chandrababu allied with Congress in the last election much to the shock of many. The miserable defeat of his party can also be attributed to that decision.

Telangana congress needs someone who can unite all the Reddys and BCs. That cannot be possible by Revanth Reddy. He may be young, dynamic and popular. But with his TDP roots and shadow of CBN on him he cannot do anything favorable for Telangana Congress.

Then who is going to lift the advantage with the decision of Congress to make Revanth Reddy as PCC Chief?

Yes, none other than KCR. The opposition party of TRS in Telangana has become weaker than before now.
