Why So Much Secrecy In KCR's Delhi Visit?

After a long gap of over 14 months, Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao went to New Delhi to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a host of other central ministers.

Normally, whenever KCR went to Delhi in the past, his chief minister’s office used to release official press release – mostly pertaining to the wish list presented to various ministers or the Prime Minister.

Though there used to be nothing new in these press releases, they at least conveyed the official version of KCR’s visit. Of course, there were also speculative reports on what he might have spoken to the Prime Minister and the other central ministers.

But this time, there was nothing of that sort from the CMO. Except the letter written by the chief minister to Union minister for civil aviation Hardeep Singh Puri, there was no information, at least for the record sake, about the issues discussed by KCR with the Prime Minister or other central ministers like Amit Shah and Gajendra Singh Shekawat.

However, the CMO confined itself to releasing the pictures of KCR’s meeting with Modi and other ministers. Rest is left to the wild imagination of the media!

The TRS president is expected to visit the site allocated by the Central government for construction of the party office in New Delhi, before returning to Hyderabad on Sunday.
