Why Kavitha's Family Members Silent On Arrest?

On Saturday, the BRS leadership remained conspicuously silent regarding the arrest of party MLC K Kavitha by the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) in the Delhi liquor scam case the day before.

While sporadic protests emerged in various parts of the state by BRS leaders and workers, the top party figures refrained from making formal comments.

Kavitha's father, BRS president K Chandrashekar Rao, her brother and party's working president K T Rama Rao, along with other senior leaders such as her cousin T Harish Rao and party secretary-general K Keshav Rao, chose not to address the issue on Saturday.

Initially, there were plans for Chandrashekar Rao to hold a press conference alongside former IAS official R S Praveen Kumar, who recently resigned from the Bahujan Samaj Party.

However, the event was later canceled, as was another press briefing scheduled to take place at the party headquarters, Telangana Bhavan.

Despite the leadership's silence, some BRS leaders organized protest demonstrations in various locations across the state, including Station Ghanpur, Warangal, Siricilla, Balkonda, Siddipet, Nizamabad, and Hyderabad.
