In Hyderabad’s real estate market, the elite and affluent individuals residing in areas like Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills, many of whom have lived there for decades, are increasingly feeling the need to buy apartments in gated communities in Raidurgam, Financial District, Kokapet etc for a better lifestyle.
While the older generation may not be as inclined toward this change, many from the younger generation, especially those with grandchildren, are choosing to invest in a second home within gated communities.
Even though they are comfortable in their current residences, they cite the lack of open spaces and safe environments for children to move around freely, socialize, and play as one of the major reasons for this shift.
Affluent buyers typically seek communities that align with their lifestyle and financial standards. They feel that gated communities offer a better environment to socialize with like-minded people who share similar values and status.
It is well known that wealthy families often enroll their children in elite schools not only for quality education but also to help them build the right social circles. Similarly, in their personal lives, they prefer living in gated communities.
As the saying goes, “Birds of a feather flock together,” and the affluent naturally tend to gravitate toward places where they can live among peers, even if they start out as strangers.
