Telangana made up its mind to oust KCR, says Modi

The people of Telangana have made up their mind to pull down the Telangana Rashtra Samithi led by chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao from power and there is a clear indication to this effect, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Thursday.

Addressing the party workers at Begumpet airport, Modi said the change of power was inevitable in Telangana, as the people have decided to put an end to the family rule.

He exuded confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party will come to power in the next elections.

Modi said thousands youth had sacrificed their lives during the movement for separate Telangana state. The sacrifice was for the better future, self-respect and pride of Telangana but not for one family.

He said the family-dominated parties were a curse on the democracy and the Telangana had benefitted only one family.

“The people of Telangana have seen how this one family has looted the state and made corruption its face. They have realized that the dynastic party is more interested in filling up its own coffers and has little concern for the poor. The family’s only objective is to capture power by all means by dividing the people. It has no concern for people’s development,” Modi said.

He further said the dynastic parties would take the society backward and rob the chances of youth and intelligent people of coming to power.

“They will stifle the voices of dissent and shut the doors for power for them,” he said.

Stating that development of the state is possible only when this family rule ends, Modi said it was the responsibility of the people to get rid of this family.

“The BJP will strive hard to fulfil the aspirations of the people,” he said.
