Telangana Cabinet Expansion This Week-End?

An interesting tweet by Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan on Wednesday led to the speculations in the media circles that Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is most likely to reshuffle his cabinet this week-end or early next week.

Tamilisai, who had been staying put in Pondicherry for the last couple of weeks in the wake of formation of the new government there, tweeted that she was rushing back to Hyderabad because of some important developments.

This led to the talk that she might have got an indication from the KCR government over a possible reshuffle of the state cabinet.

Apparently, the chief minister wants to fill up the vacancy arising out of the sacking of former health minister Eatala Rajender, besides dropping a couple of ministers and inducting fresh faces.

Sources said KCR might drop controversial labour minister Malla Reddy, who was allegedly caught in a telephonic conversation threatening a real estate dealer for giving a share in the land.

Similarly, there is a talk that the chief minister might remove tourism minister V Srinivas Goud, who also reportedly made controversial comments.

KCR might also go in for major reshuffle in the portfolios of the ministers, so as to put right people in the right places, sources added.
