Showcause notice to Komatireddy Jr

The days of senior Congress leader and MLA from Munugode Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy in the Congress party are numbered.

Rajagopal Reddy, who left for New Delhi to meet the top BJP leaders and gain entry into the party, has no chance of coming back, as the party high command is said to be very serious about his comments.

He told the reporters in Munugode that there was no future for the Congress in Telangana and BJP was the only party which could take on the TRS. He praised the leadership of Modi and his revolutionary decisions.

Immediately, the PCC asked the disciplinary committee to go through Rajagopal Reddy’s comments and suggest an action.

The committee issued show-cause notices to the MLA and also recommended to the high command to take action against him.

Senior leader V Hanumantha Rao fumed at Rajagopal Reddy’s comments. He said the Komatireddy family had enjoyed several positions in the party and was now betraying the same party.

“Rajagopal Reddy was made an MP and then an MLC and recently, he became an MLA. His brother Venkat Reddy was a former minister and even after he lost the recent elections, he was given the MP ticket from Bhongir and got him elected.

“Rajagopal Reddy’s wife was given the MLC ticket and another brother also contested local body elections, but they lost. Yet, they want to ditch the party that gave them everything,” VH said.

Interestingly, Sangareddy MLA T Jayaprakash Reddy alias Jagga Reddy admitted that Rajagopal Reddy had held discussions with him, but refused to divulge the details. He, however, said he had no plans to join the BJP.

“For a moment, please set aside the talk of my defection from the Congress. I want the high command to make me the PCC working president. I will decide on my future course, depending on the party’s response,” he said.
