Pawan Becomes TRS Target In GHMC Polls!

Pawan Becomes TRS Target In GHMC Polls!

Jana Sena Party chief and power star Pawan Kalyan, who has announced withdrawal of his party from the contest in the Grater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections in support of Bharatiya Janata Party, has now become a soft target for the Telangana Rashtra Samithi.

Within hours of Pawan making the announcement, the TRS has started attacking Jana Sena Party of being an Andhra outfit and the BJP of taking the support of an Andhra leader, who failed miserably in his home turf.

“How can Pawan Kalyan help the BJP by extending his party’s support in Hyderabad, when his party could not make any impact in the Andhra Pradesh elections? Pawan himself could not win even in a single seat though he contested in two places,” TRS legislator and spokesman Balka Suman said.

The TRS leaders are of the view that Pawan Kalyan might have withdrawn from the contest as he feared his party might face much bigger humiliation in the GHMC polls than it had witnessed in Andhra.

“Jana Sena should have contested independently and Pawan would have known how much support he had among the people of Hyderabad, where he claims to have a large fan following,” a TRS leader said.

On the other hand, the BJP leaders are of the view that if even Jana Sena Party made 2-5 per cent of difference in voting, it would help the party win a few more seats in the GHMC.
